I read a fiction book called The Midnight Gang by David Walliams.

I read 30 pages of The Midnight Gang. The main charcters were Tom, Robin, Amber, Sally and Goerge.

A Boy named Tom was hit by a ball on his head and was admitted at the Lord Funt Hospital. He meets four new friends in the children ward. At midnight he and his friends named Sally, George, Robin, and Amber go on an adventure in which they try to complete each other's dreams. While everyone is sleeping the midnight gang has to make sure that they quietly sneak out of the children’s ward without anyone.

I enjoyed this book because it was funny and I also liked the drawings that helped me imgane better.

Basic Fact Boxes

Today for one of my home learning tasks I did the speed denom challenge. I got up to 20 and I got all of them right in 4 minutes 24 seconds. Next time I will make sure that I concentrate more on the basic facts. I will also try to break my time record. 

Rap vs Potrey

This week I was assigned to decide a text whether it was a Rap or Poetry every day.

Firstly, I did my Monday work about 'Watching from train'. It is a poem because it has rhyming words and has poetic devices such as Similes and Hyperbole. It has different adjectives, adverb and rhyming words such as Hill and Plain, Faster than witches, like troops in battle, fly as thick as driving rain, in a wink of an eye. 

Next I did my Tuesday work about a 'Rock show'. It is a Rap because it's lyrics are like a Rap lyrics and has Similes and Metaphors. The interesting words in in Rap were locked, notorious, express, fulfill. There were hyperbole such as locked the flow etc. Ryhming words in the Rap were team and dream, show and flow.

Then I did my Wednesday work about 'Being really tired'. It is a Rap it's lyrics are like a Raps lyrics and has Hyperbole as well. Interesting words in the Rap were weary, muttered, weak, curious volume. There were rhyming words such as suddenly and gently, tapping and rapping. Rhyming words helps to recognise, match and generate sound patterns.

Lastly I did my Thursday work about 'Being weak;. It is a Rap because it's lyrics are like a Raps lyrics and also has Hyperbole and similes, and rhyming words such as sweaty and heavy, drop bombs, joking and choking. It has some interesting adjective, adverbs words like sweaty, weak, heavy, calm and loud. 

I enjoyed this task and to research on Poetry and Rap because it is new topic for me.

Duffy theatre

 Me and LS1 went to the Duffy theatre.

First we were introduced to the characters. The characters were duffy, scruffy, duffy's aunty and duffy's teacher. Then the story started!

Next, Duffy was at his aunty's house with his sister scruffy. Duffy had online classes and his sister did not have online classes. One time he was working on his online class when his sister annoyed him, so he threw out the ipads. His mom said to work for his aunty so he can get his ipad back.

Then, duffy fell in the hole when he was walking. Later he found bones of mou the bird that died 1000 years ago. His aunty and his sister helped him get up. He sold the bones to the museum and then he became famous.

I enjoyed this theatre because it was funny. 

Math: Strategies

 My group and I remembered the 2 strategies

For the first question we had to use the place value strategy The question was 21 + 7  which gave us the answer 28. We got feedback and now we are on our second question.

In the next question we had to use the place value strategy again. The question was 34+17 which gave us the answer 51. Our answer was right!

Finally, in the last question we had to do the place value and algorithm strategy. The question was 193+238 which gives us the answer 431.

I loved doing thsi strategy because I learnt a lot about place value and algorithm strategy.

cause and effect

  Cause and Effect is something that causes the problem and the effect of the problem.

what we need for playing cause and effect we:

Cause: if you want to play cause and effect you need four cause

Effect: we need four effect to play cause and effect:

 Casual Language : we need four casual language to play the game 

We need a computer or paper and two player to play this game.

Water saftey

Melissa,David and I observerd LS1 in water saftey

The 3 most important things were.

First they learned dolphin diving in that we go under the water and pick something up and bring it back up.

Next they learned jumping in that we had to jump in the water.

Last they learned skull kicking in that we had hold a kicking path and had to kick to move in the water.

I learned a lot about water saftey.

Olymic vs PBS

First we compared the olympic motto with the PBS moto The olympic motto was  Faster, Higher, Stronger

Second we compared The olympic creed with the PBS Whakatauki The PBS Whakatauki is Manaaki whenua, Manaaki tangata, Haere whakamua 

Last we compared the Olympic values with the PBS values. The PBS values were Confidence  Respect Excellence Attitude and the olympic values were   Olympism are excellence, friendship and respect.

I learned a lot about The olympic and the PBS.

Preaissuive Writting

I brainstormed ideas.

The ideas were made into selfish class and world.

Second we turned the title into red yellow and green red . Red means that you don't really know about the word .Yellow means you kinda know about the word . Green means you know a lot about the word. 

Lastly we decided what the colour the word should be.

I learned a lot about how to preaissuive writting.

Basic fact boxes

 I completed the speed demon challenge up to 20 in 3 minutes and 34 seconds I got all of them right I think I should concentrate more so Ican complete I can complete it.

Statistic

 My and I group did a statistical investigation about how many blog post we did.

First we collected the data of our blog post. We had to count how many blog post we had done each month , and add them together.

Next we analysed the data. That means we had to make a pie chart and bar chart to show which month had the most blog post.

Last we had to write down our data and tell why it had less blog post or more blog post.

I learned a lot about Statistics.
