SLJ Step it up: Mandala Mania

Today, I made slow motion animation of my natural mandala mania.

First, I started by clicking pictures of every step while making my design.

Second, I put those pictures in a presentation and edited them in the centre of the slide.

Next, I found a background music on youtube that was perfect for my video.

Lastly, I used screencastify to show all my steps in a slow motion animation.

An interesting facts is that slow motion is an animation technique in which a camera is stopped and started in order to give the impression of movement.

I learnt that animation is a way of making a movie from many still images.

I liked doing this Summer Learning Journey task because I got to know how an animation works.

Chris here, from the Summer Learning Journey.

Pai mahi on doing the Mandala Mania Step It Up activity! Tēnā koe for explaining the steps you took in completing this task, including how you made the clip, just awesome. I just looked at your Kick Start for this and that was impressive enough, but then to put all this effort into making a digital piece to go with it is really cool to see.

Glad you enjoyed learning about animation as well, are there any animations you really like? Did this task make you appreciate the work that goes into them more?

Looking forward to what else you post during the Summer Learning Journey!

    Ngā mihi,
    Chris

    1. Kia ora Chris,

Thank you for commenting on my blog post and the feedback too.
Yes, I agree it took me a long time completing this task because I had to click every picture for the steps and add them into a presentation.
I really like watching a lot of japanese anime. My favourite anime is Demon Slayer.
When I did this task I realised how hard it is to make an animation. You have to take a picture of every movement and I cannot imagine how long it took to make a series of animations.
Do you watch any types of animations? And if you do what is your favouritre one?

      Thank you so much!
I am looking forward to your reply.

    2. Kia ora Sahil,

I can imagine. Great that you're so into anime, I kind of missed that boat. My favourite animations vary. I'm a big Archer and Rick and Morty fan. Also really respect Soul, Inside Out, Big Hero Six, Toy Story 1 and 4, and Into the Spiderverse.

      Tēnā koe,
      Chris
