SLJ Step it up: Spread the word

Today, I commented on my classmates blog post and chose my five favourite ones.

First, I chose the people I will comment on which were Jebrael, Kaysorn, O'Ninesha, Matheus and Densyn.

Next, I made sure to: include a greeting, compliment, positive feedback, be thoughtful, be helpful, make a connection, ask a question, add more information.

Lastly, I made sure to make smart decisions, share information, make sure my comment makes sense, check my spellings and punctuations.

From this task I learnt how to make quality blog comments.

I liked this activity because I got to learn and share information and give positive advise to people.

Chris here, from the Summer Learning Journey.

Pai mahi on doing the Spread the Word Step It Up activity! Tēnā koe for explaining how you chose to write your comments. I think your approach was great, having a greeting, a compliment, feedback, and a question in that order!

Your spelling and punctuation are really solid as well, so it definitely shows that you’re checking your work. Do you do much reading and writing in your spare time? I ask because this can teach a lot about spelling and punctuation, and you’re already doing so well I thought you might already be a big reader!

Looking forward to what else you post during the Summer Learning Journey!

    Ngā mihi,
    Chris

    1. Kia ora Chris,

Thank you for commenting on my blog post and the feedback too.
Yes I think that adding a greeting, a compliment, feedback, and a question is important to make a quality comment.
Yes, I do read books during my holidays.
I agree, that reading and writing makes your puctuation and spellings better.
Do you like reading books? If yes, do you like fiction or non-fiction?

      Thank you so much!
I am looking forward to your reply.

    2. Kia ora Sahil,

That's great to hear. What're you reading at the moment? I read a combination of fiction and non-fiction. I'm currently finishing American Gods by Neil Gaimon, and am about to start Potiki by Patricia Grace.

      Tēnā koe,

    3. Kia ora Chris,

At the moment I finished reading a book called Ninja Kids 7 by Anh Do.
It is a fiction book in which Nija Kid's grandmom has created a glove that can bring toys to life but when he tries to test it, it gets stolen by Kevin. Then he makes a crazy toy army that were trying to kill Ninja Kid and H-Dude.

      Thank you for replying!
